My 2019 Internship Experience

This semester I have the privilege of working with Latif Thomas. He is an acclaimed businessman and high school track and field coach. Over the course of the semester I learned a lot about coaching, running a business and organizing myself which ultimately correlated to success in my academics and success on the track.
This website will show you the coaching skills I learned over the semester, the video editing skills I was forced to teach myself over the semester and lastly how learning this assisted me in developing into a better student, employee and athlete.

Over the summer I had a very bad internship experience at a gym that didn’ align with my morals. After keeping my mouth shut about certain events which occured in the institution against myself and other employees I decided to leave the gym. I told myself that my next internship would be one that aligned with my morals. I had known Latif for a while because he was my high school coach for a time. Politically, ethically and mentally we were on the same page.

The above videos were both made In Adobe Premire from sample footage which was taken at track meets. I took non of the footage and I am racing in many of the videos. The first video I made was about the New England Championships and was used just to get me comfortable with the program. The second video took some artistic choices and went a more rough gritty and vintage look to display mastery of the program.
